Our French family is so wonderful - since Gordy’s birthday is coming up, they organized a day of celebrations. First, Justine and Iklef took us to an “accrobranche park” which is basically an obstacle course built in the trees for kids. For about an hour, Gordy flew back and forth through the courses which included small zip lines, balance beams, moving bridges, a long foot path with different things to walk/race on, and so much more. He could not have been happier!
Then, we went to a separate area with three tree houses and netted walkways between each house and a slide down to the ground.
After we finished in the forest, Justine’s brother, Etienne, took us on a hike to a beautiful waterfall where we all got into the VERY cold pool at the bottom.
We finished our day with some pétanque, a delicious veggie bbq dinner, and a birthday song and cake that Justine’s friend brought up from a bakery in Marseille.
Merci to all of these amazing people who made his day so special.
