Now that 1st grade has started, Gordy is exposed to a ton of wonderful infectious diseases on a daily basis. Recently, a few kids in his class have been absent due to illness so it was only a matter of time before our family contracted something.
Gordy woke up two days ago with a fever and a stuffy nose. In the last 48 hours, it escalated to a near constant 103 degree fever (unless medicated), clogged sinuses, loss of appetite, and a nasty cough. Now, it's migrated to me.
Hopefully it passes quickly so that we can enjoy our holiday weekend. In the meantime, the two of us have posted up on the couch with a silly movie, tissues, and cups of hydration drinks.
