Gordy spent the last few days home with a fever and headaches, so I finally called the doctor and he told us to come in right away. We spent two hours in there explaining all of his symptoms day by day for the last two weeks, doing a bunch of blood tests, and then meeting again with the doctor to talk through them. In the end, the doctor thinks that the most likely diagnosis is that he has a nasty sinus infection which he hopes is treatable with antibiotics. And, if by the end of the weekend, he still has a fever, we are to call the doctor again so that he can start in on more tests.
Gordy has only been on the antibiotics for 24 hours, but he's still very lethargic and has a low grade fever when not dosed up with Motrin. His appetite has somewhat improved (or he's just a huge fan of cinnamon and sugar toast), and he has bouts of happy energy.
We are taking it day by day and are hoping that these meds will kick in soon.
