Over a week later, Gordy and I are still working hard to fight this "darn sick bug". Our fevers seem to be gone most days (although not all), we are coughing a little less, my skin no longer hurts to the touch, and we are blowing fewer buckets of snot out of our noses. We are more happy to be up and doing light activities, and we don't get as winded as easily.
Our symptoms have seemed very covid-ish, so we've both tested and our tests have been negative. While we are happy about our covid-free diagnoses, this sick-bug is no picnic. It's long lasting, really takes you down, and the amount of snot that we are expressing from our bodies is startling. From what we've heard from other parents at Gordy's school, lots of other kids and their families have been out with similar symptoms, so it appears that it's going around - yay!
Hopefully we are near the end and we can get back to our regular, fun life.
